About us

In 1991, I graduated in Translation from Heidelberg University's Institute for Translating and Interpreting (now know as the 'Seminar for Translating and Interpreting'). My languages were English and French and my supplementary subjects were 'Public Law' and 'Private Law'. Around the same time, I trained as a paramedic and worked for some 10 years in the profession (hence my obsession with technical medical texts). Previously, I had studied English and American Studies, Romance Studies and Geography at the University of Würzburg.

After many years working as a freelance translator, I decided to take things in a new direction and link up with some colleagues to be able to offer my clients additional languages, specializations and services. Today, we are a team of technically competent, diligent experts with a passion for language and the trust of clients worldwide. Our clients include companies of all sizes ranging from the engineering consultant or fledgling start-up, through the established, medium-sized enterprise to the global corporation. Research institutes, public authorities and publishing houses are some of the other organizations who appreciate the quality of our committed, reliable and client-oriented work.

We also specialize in providing technical and methodological consultation on all language-related issues. I also provide advice to new entrants to freelance translation on the fundamentals, and not-so-fundamentals, of the profession in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

We do not trade in language services. We render them ourselves – with commitment, responsibility and at reasonable cost.
